What is UCONNECT?

The University of Central Oklahoma News and Networking Educational Communication Tool is a secure web site providing UCO student, faculty and administrative staff with up-to-the minute campus communications, single login connections to check grades, check schedules, add or drop classes, pay tuition on-line, and access on-line course information. In a nutshell, UCONNECT is UCO's campus portal.

What is my UCONNECT user name?

Your UCONNECT user name is generally your first initial and last name followed by a sequence number if necessary. If you know your UCO ID number or your online Admission Application ID, you may look up your user name at http://www.ucok.edu/lookup.

Example: If your name is Shelly Long then your User ID would be slong. If there is more than one person with the same first initial and last name then the system will automatically generate a number after your last name: slong1.

How do I get assistance if I am unable to login to UCONNECT?

On-line support is found in these Frequently Asked Questions or you may contact the Technology Support office at 974-CALL (x2255) or by e-mail to support@ucok.edu. You may also get login assistance from a lab technician at one of the Information Technology Microcomputer Labs on campus. You will need to provide photo identification for assistance in the labs.

Do all UCO students get a personal UCONNECTe-mail account?

Yes, every student enrolled at UCO has a personal e-mail account. After logging in to UCONNECT, click on the e-mail icon located in the upper right hand corner of the page. Various critical communications are delivered exclusively to students through this e-mail account, so be sure to monitor it and keep up with what is going on with your classes, financial aid, and various other UCO activities. Students may also access e-mail through the My E-mail Inbox Channel.

What do I do if I forget my UCONNECT password?

If you forget your UCONNECT password and need assistance in resetting it to the default, you may go to the Enrollment Services office (room 124) on the first floor of the Nigh University Center, to the Computer Center in the Math and Computer Science building (room 171), to the Library second floor North East corner (room 228), or to the Office of Information Technology in the Administration Building (suite 101 or 102).

You will be required to present a photo ID and provide your UCO ID number before your password will be reset for you. Your password will NOT be reset by phone. You cannot call the campus computer labs for a password reset. You may present a photo ID to a lab consultant in an Information Technology Lab who will then call an authorized support technician to reset the password between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.

What do I need in order to get started on UCONNECT?

In order to get started on UCONNECT, you will need a computer with a compatible browser and access to the internet. You will also need your UCONNECT user name and password.

Do Alumni have a personal UCONNECT e-mail account?

Members of the University of Central Oklahoma Alumni Association are granted a personal UCONNECT e-mail account.

What is my UCONNECT password?

Your UCONNECT password is a unique password. If you are new to UCO, your initial or default password is your birthdate, in the format mmddyy. For example: If your birthday is April 1, 1983, your default password is 040183.

Otherwise, your password is the value that you determined when you last changed it.

REMEMBER: NEVER share your password with anyone!

How do I access on-line instruction for UCONNECT?

UCONNECT now offers multiple ways to access on-line instruction related to UCONNECT services. You may get general assistance by clicking on the help icon in the upper left corner of your screen display. Or, you may get detailed information from the links available on the Tutorial tab.

How do I access my UCONNECT e-mail?

After logging in to UCONNECT, access your e-mail by clicking on the e-mail tab in the upper right corner of the screen. UCONNECT e-mail may also be accessed by students using the My E-mail Inbox Channel.

How do I view my course information in UCONNECT?

Course information is available on the My Courses tab in UCONNECT. Students may select the My Courses Channel to access the materials provided by the instructor.

Faculty may select the My Courses Channel to view or update the materials provided to the students. In addition, Faculty may also select the Faculty Dashboard Channel to gain instant access to the Broncho Central Web for Faculty services.

Where do I go to enroll, or add and drop classes in UCONNECT?

Login to UCONNECT, then locate the Registration Tools Channel on the Home tab. This channel allows you to check your registration or enrollment status, and lookup, add, drop or change classes.

How do I check my class schedule in UCONNECT?

After logging in to UCONNECT, locate the Banner Self Service Channel on the School Services Tab. Open the Banner Self Service folder, then the Student and Financial Aid folder, then the Enrollment Registration folder, then select the Student Schedule by Day & Time or the Student Detail Schedule.
