Planning the Project

Set the foundation for the project work by defining  the tasks to be accomplished, and the timeframe, resources, staff, communication, and costs involved in completing these key activities.

Key Activities

• Project Team - Select project team members, functional project manager and technical project manager.
• Project Task List - Define the the work that will produce the completed product.
• Resource Planning - Determine resources needed to complete the project.
• Schedule - Create a time allocation for the project work tasks and the related calendar for the project work.
• Project Integration - identify key areas with which the project must integrate.
• Communication Plan - Create a project communication plan.
